CIUDAD MCY.- El presidente de Rusia, Vladímir Putin, sostuvo una conversación telefónica con su homólogo de Frabncia, Emmanuel Macron, en la que acordaron organizar una reunión del Grupo de Contacto Trilateral sobre Ucrania en las próximas horas para lograr un cese al fuego en el este de la nación ucraniana, y de esta manera intensificar el trabajo diplomático por la resolución pacífica del conflicto.

«Los jefes de dos Estado asumieron unos firmes compromisos de realizar todas las acciones útiles para evitar la escalada de tensiones, reducir los riesgos y preservar la paz en Donbá». Coincidieron en «la necesidad de apoyar una solución diplomática a la crisis actual y en que harían todo lo posible para lograrlo», puntualiza un comunicado del servicio de prensa del Elíseo.

«Para ello, en los próximos días y semanas se llevará a cabo un intenso trabajo diplomático. El ministro de Exteriores, Jean-Yves Le Drian, se reunirá en los próximos días con su homólogo, Serguéi] Lavrov», indica el texto, citado por Sputnik News.

Otra de las decisiones de Putin y Macron consiste en organizar una cumbre que cuente con la participación de todas las partes interesadas, para definir un nuevo orden de paz y seguridad en Europa.

El presidente Putin hizo hincapié en que Estados Unidos y la Organización del Tratado del Atlántico Norte (Otan) deben tratar con seriedad las garantías de seguridad en la región europea, propuestas por Rusia.

El intercambio telefónico se dio por iniciativa de la parte francesa, en la que los mandatarios abordaron la situación en Ucrania y las garantías de seguridad, refiere un comunicado emitido por el Kremlin.

Los presidentes expresaron serias preocupaciones por el empeoramiento de la situación en Donbass, en el este de Ucrania, mientras que el mandatario ruso responsabilizó a las fuerzas ucranianas de la escalada del conflicto y denunció la militarización de Ucrania por parte de la Otan.

Kiev se decanta por la resolución militar del conflicto y como resultado, «sufre la población civil de las repúblicas populares de Donetsk y Lugansk, que se ven obligadas a evacuar a Rusia para salvarse de los ataques que se intensifican», indica el comunicado del Kremlin.
