CIUDAD MCY.- MBI arrancó la semana con buenas noticias para el sector animalista, tras los anuncios que hiciera el alcalde Brullerby Suárez al participar en la jornada de discusión del Proyecto de Ley para el Trato Digno de Animales de Compañía, que se llevó a cabo en la plaza Bolívar de El Limón.

En esta jornada, se aprobó una de las propuestas del debate «in situ», como la creación de una Unidad de Cuidados Veterinarios como servicio público en el municipio para animales de compañía y en condición de calle.

También, Suárez informó que tiene planes para hacer en el Parque Los Apamates, que se encuentra en proceso de recuperación y embellecimiento, un espacio para la recreación de las mascotas y también un centro para su cuidado temporal en los casos de que los dueños deban ausentarse del hogar y no tengan con quien dejarlos.

Esta consulta a la ciudadanía es una iniciativa de la Asamblea Nacional y en el estado Aragua la promueve el diputado Manuel Hernández de la bancada patriota, quien encabezó esta actividad en MBI acompañado de su homólogo Martín Ríos del sector oposición, en el marco del parlamentarismo de calle.

Dijo el legislador que «el objetivo de todo esto es escuchar las propuestas de todos los sectores, de nuestra gente de a pie, de todo aquel que tenga una mascota y puedan decirnos en qué podemos contribuir en fortalecer este proyecto de ley que hasta ahora consta de tres capítulos y 15 artículos».

A su vez, en el lugar se realizó una atención integral veterinaria para el pueblo mariobricense, indicó Francisco Mijares, coordinador de Misión Nevado en la región.

«Estamos felices, porque estamos celebrando esta feria animalista y consulta pública de la Ley… En articulación perfecta con instituciones del Estado (Insai, Ministerio Público, Corposalud, Guardia del Pueblo) para llevar a cabo esta atención y en ese sentido agradecer el apoyo del alcalde Brullerby Suárez por los insumos médicos y demás colaboración», resaltó.

Igualmente, agradeció a las organizaciones animalistas que dieron su granito de arena a la jornada, entre ellos los veterinarios misioneros, independientes, del Colegio de Médicos, entre otros.

Mijares aplaudió las buenas nuevas de los anuncios hechos por el burgomaestre, quien además en su intervención se declaró animalista de corazón.

La discusión del Proyecto antes mencionado estuvo acompañada del Consejo Legislativo del estado Bolivariano de Aragua (Cleba) y del Concejo Municipal de MBI; la presidenta de este último, Kharin Mendoza, expresó todo su apoyo y el de los concejales de la Patria a esta ley e invitó a la población a participar en este gran debate nacional por un mejor trato para los animales domésticos.

Por último, Yoleidy Labrador, vecina de la parroquia El Limón, manifestó su beneplácito con el evento, «de verdad muy agradecida por esta jornada de Misión Nevado y la Alcaldía de MBI, es de gran ayuda para quienes tenemos mascotas. Aprovecho de felicitar las políticas públicas a favor de nuestros animales, me voy muy contenta con el debate de la Ley que acá se desarrolló sobre todo por las decisiones del alcalde a favor de las mascotas».
