CIUDAD MCY.-La última vez que los Reales de Kansas City estuvieron en playoffs, Salvador Pérez era galardonado como el Jugador Más Valioso de la Serie Mundial 2015. A partir de entonces, el equipo ni siquiera ha vuelto a jugar para récord positivo en una temporada completa. Aunque esa amarga racha pudiera estar cerca de acabar, o al menos, a ese objetivo apuntan.

Pocos conocen mejor el proceso de reconstrucción de la franquicia que el carabobeño. No sólo porque se aproxima a su decimotercera campaña como grandeliga, todas con la realeza, sino también porque debido a su importancia como el cuarto capitán vitalicio de la divisa, desde el año pasado el alto mando le notifica cada firma o adquisición que realizan.
