CIUDAD MCY.-Enrique Rojas es un aragüeño con más de 15 años de experiencia en natación en la disciplina del Clavado, Rojas buscará ingresar de manera directa a los Juegos Olímpicos París 2024, quedando entre los 18 primeros lugares de la Copa del Mundo que se realizará en Doha Catar del 31 de enero al 11 de febrero.

El competidor ya ha representado al estado Aragua en múltiples ocasiones y es parte de los atletas de la Federación Venezolana de Deportes Acuáticos (Feveda). Actualmente el profesional de saltos ornamentales, se entrena diariamente dentro y fuera del agua para llegar en la mejor forma física a la Copa del Mundo.

Durante esta ruta olímpica, Enrique Rojas, se ha medido tres veces en competencias internacionales, destacando los juegos XXIV Juegos Centroamericanos y del Caribe, la Copa Euroasiática – Rusia 2023 y los Panamericanos Santiago 2023.

Cabe destacar, que los Juegos Olímpicos se realizarán desde el 26 de julio y culminarán el 11 de agosto, en la ciudad de París. En este sentido, el clavadista afirma que, para lograr buenos resultados “se requiere de una voluntad férrea y trabajo constante”.

Este será el XXI Campeonato Mundial de Natación organizado por la Federación Internacional de Natación (FINA) y la Federación Catarí de Natación, en la que se estarán disputando las modalidades de natación, natación artística, saltos, saltos de gran altura, natación en aguas abiertas y waterpolo.

Es de destacar, que estarán los mejores nadadores del mundo en cada una de las especialidades, a su vez, la especialidad de Saltos se va a realizar en el Centro Acuático Hamad.

El primer deportista venezolano en asistir a unos Juegos Olímpicos fue el ciclista Julio César León quien debutó en Londres 1948.  Desde entonces, Venezuela ha enviado delegaciones de manera ininterrumpida a todas las ediciones siguientes, con lo que registra 18 participaciones.
