CIUDAD MCY.- El Gobierno Nacional logró incrementar el turismo receptivo en un 70% este año 2023, con 1,12 millones de visitas, comparado con el año anterior en el que llegaron 656.000 turistas, y tiene proyecciones para alcanzar los 1,5 millones de turistas internacionales para el próximo 2024.
La información la dio a conocer el ministro del Poder Popular para el Turismo, Alí Padrón, quien destacó los esfuerzos, políticas y lineamientos del presidente de la República, Nicolás Maduro, para impulsar este sector en la dimensión económica y superar la dependencia de la renta petrolera.
«Hemos logrado que, en medio de circunstancias adversas, de grandes desafíos, viniendo de una pandemia, el sector turismo haya tenido una recuperación importante», dijo al sumarse a las palabras del jefe de Estado que «el turismo es el arma secreta de Venezuela».
En entrevista concedida al programa Café en la Mañana, que transmite Venezolana de Televisión (VTV), subrayó que somos un país mega diverso, multi destino, por lo que es necesario implementar políticas que permitan ofrecer turismo de calidad.
En este sentido, informó que recientemente fueron entregados los primeros cuatro sellos de calidad turística en Gestión Organizacional y Laboral, Gestión Ambiental, Atención al Cliente y Recorrido Turístico, y se tiene previsto entregar tres más el año 2024, sobre Gestión de Accesibilidad, Turismo Extremo y Gestión de Guías Turísticos.
Padrón explicó que el país ha logrado vencer barreras comunicacionales, lo que ha dado paso a que unos 140 influencer de más de 20 países hayan visitado el territorio y difundido la maravillosa experiencia que abarca las bellezas naturales, gastronomía, cultura, artes y trato de los venezolanos.
Por otra parte, anunció que el año que viene se realizará en el estado Carabobo el Primer Congreso Nacional de Guías de Turismo, «un elemento importante para la experiencia», sumado a la capacitación, sensibilización, abordaje de las comunidades y formación constante de todos los involucrados en el sector turístico.
Puntualizó que, actualmente, el Ministerio que preside ha validado 73 rutas en 19 estados del país, las cuales permiten que algunas expresiones culturales de fechas específicas puedan ofrecerse durante todo el año, generando distintas sinergias y dinámicas económicas interesantísimas.
Asimismo, detalló que, gracias a las operaciones chárter, el pasado lunes llegaron más de 300 polacos, el martes más de 500 rusos y este viernes llegan 300 turistas más provenientes de Polonia, quienes visitan varios estados del país y contribuyen a la dinamización y crecimiento de la economía local y nacional.
Finalmente, aseveró que este año, con respecto a 2023, hubo un crecimiento del 34% en el turismo interno, más de 400.000 personas han visitado el Sistema Teleférico Warairarepano, con el plan de turismo social casi 50.000 personas han recorrido tanto el Warairarepano como el Teleférico Mukumbarí y, hasta ahora, la ocupación hotelera está por encima de 80% en esta temporada decembrina que se va a mantener hasta el 15 de enero.
