CIUDAD MCY.- La principal rivalidad del béisbol profesional venezolano ya tiene calendario para la temporada 2024-25. Y es que se conocieron las fechas de los duelos entre los Leones del Caracas y los Navegantes del Magallanes.

Un total de 12 encuentros se llevarán a cabo en los estadios José Bernardo Pérez de Valencia y el Monumental Simón Bolívar de La Rinconada.

El primer duelo de los “Eternos Rivales” será el domingo 20 de octubre en Valencia, ocho días después del inicio de la temporada, el cual está pautado para el 12 del mismo mes.

Este año la rivalidad entre la nave turca y los melenudos puede tener un condimento extra, debido al cambio de Erick Leal de Magallanes a Leones. Esto debido a que el carabobeño venía siendo el as de la rotación filibustera en las últimas temporadas.

Sin embargo, Leal no tiene asegurada su participación en la LVBP este años, ya que gracias a su extraordinaria actuación en la Liga Mexicana de Beisbol, en la que se coronó campeón con los Diablos Rojos del México, firmó un contrato de Ligas Menores con invitación a entrenamientos primaverales con los Yankees de Nueva York.

Magallanes a romper la sequía

Otro factor clave en esta temporada es que los dirigidos por Eduardo Pérez buscarán acabar con el yugo de Leones en su casa, ya que el último triunfo de los navieros de visitante ante los capitalinos se remonta al año 2022.

De hecho, los Navegantes del Magallanes y los Cardenales de Lara no han podido triunfar en el Monumental Simón Bolívar.

Lo cierto es que una de las rivalidades más célebres del deporte venezolano y del béisbol caribeño ya tiene fecha, así que los fanáticos ya pueden ir programando sus agendas para asistir al estadio.
